We started making jerky with our new dehydrator!! The dehydrator is a great (and DELICIOUS!) addition to our ranch equipment.
Our first round was flavored mesquite and inferno (HOT HOT HOT).
This is round 2, the mesquite & sweet n hot.
We are turning 75 lbs of Bison meat into jerky. (100 percent Bison) The house smelled amazing. The flavors we are doing are: Mesquite, sweet and hot, original, and smoked original. We got our spices from Michlitch Company out of Spokane.
It has been almost a WHOLE week since the 3D Archery Shoot and I am STILL living off the fun we had and, for me, shooting a bow for the very first time! This is a sport I am excited to jump into!
Last weekend was much warmer and dryer than the May shoot. It started off damp with a drizzle of rain here and there, but the Saturday afternoon sun brought both warmth and challenge as it was a bit harder to see a few of the targets. People were happy to come across a little fawn bedded down (out of harms way) in the course. Burgers were purchased from the Bison Ranch for lunch and many ate the Ranch’s spaghetti dinner while listening to the amazing River City Pickers.
If you are interested to see the winners of the shoot and a peek of the River City Pickers, the photos are up on the H2H Bison Ranch’s Facebook page.
Thank you Broken Trail Bowmen for hosting your event at the ranch!! We enjoy having you and look forward to many years of archery shooting!!!
Check out the photos!
May was wet and rainy, but that didn’t stop ALMOST 300 local archers from showing up and competing in the 3D Archery Shoot! There were 40 competition targets, including additional contest targets, on the approximately 40 acre course. Everyone seemed to enjoy the competition, the cheeseburger lunch and pulled pork dinner H2H Bison ranch sold to hungry archers, and the music provided by the River City Pickers at the end of the day.
Look through the photos below to check out how fun this event was! Our next archery shoot is June 10th and 11th. Come join us!
